Do you usually dry your clothes inside a closed room away from direct sunlight?
If so, I strongly suggest you avoid it!
Drying clothes indoors is generally not a good habit—except in these three situations:
- It’s raining outside
- The air is very humid (Due to bad weather)
- You are in a hurry
But why?
The Power of the Sun vs. Simple Evaporation
Clothes that are dried indoors only lose moisture. It’s simple evaporation, nothing more.
But when you dry clothes in the sun, the process does two things. It dries clothes and simultaneously kills harmful bacteria, fungi, and some viruses. Here, the sun’s heat and UV radiation act as natural disinfectants.
That’s why sun drying is usually the best method for both drying and disinfecting clothes.
